The receivers on the New York Jets Arizona Cardinals have some appreciative comments regarding QB Favre’s passes.
“His balls come a lot faster,” Rodgers-Cromartie said. “I ain’t seen no balls like that. Kurt’s ball gets there, but not like that. It messed with me a little bit as far as my technique. I played cautious.”
Arby’s Mac And Cheezers Clearly more than a trend, stuffing mac and cheese into a deep fried, golden shell is here to stay. I must admit I had some of these (though not at Arby’s) and they weren’t horrible. At least in terms of eating. Just don’t look at the nutrition info…
Palin’s latest gem in response to why Alaska’s proximity to Russia makes her a foreign policy expert:
“We have trade missions back and forth,” Palin told Couric. “We, we do, it’s very important when you consider even national security issues with Russia as Putin rears his head and comes into the airspace of the United States of America, where, where do they go? It’s Alaska. It’s just right over the border. It is from Alaska that we send those out to make sure that an eye is being kept on this very powerful nation, Russia, because they are right there. They are right next to, to our state.”
And on the pending economic bailout:
” . . . where it is the taxpayers looking to bail out. But ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the healthcare reform that is needed to help shore up our economy. Um, helping, oh — it’s got to be all about job creation too. Shoring up our economy, and putting it back on the right track. So healthcare reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions, and tax relief for Americans, and trade, we’ve got to see trade as opportunity, not as a competitive, um, scary thing, but 1 in 5 jobs being created in the trade sector today. We’ve got to look at that as more opportunity. All of those things under the umbrella of job creation. This bailout is a part of that.”
It’s almost more frightening to read it in print. But here are the videos anyway. (Minute 3:35 in the first for the Alaska/Russia nugget.) Ugh, this sucks.
Question: Has the world always been like this? Not counting the wholesome Beaver Cleaver image of the 50’s, has the news always been so bad, or is it always getting worse? I can’t imagine shady dealings and corrupt politicians haven’t been around forever.
US Big Auto Gets A Quiet Bailout Too Isn’t it nice to know that your money – $25 billion – is going toward loans to American car manufacturers so they can spend it to “retool factories for more fuel-efficient vehicles?” See, they never thought of doing that before now and with their own money.
The Palin Problem “The point is that she comes to us, seeking the second most important job in the world, without any intellectual training relevant to the challenges and responsibilities that await her.”
I think it depends on what kind shoes your wearing, and what the depth, or thickness of the puddle or smear is, also weather you can avoid it, and what it smells like, but I think that poop is grosser than pee.
These are the Kawasaki 704s – apparently the hottest trend in fashion eyewear. The Japanese manufacturer can’t keep up wih demand for them, and they just might play a role in the upcoming election. Why? Very simple: they are the glasses one Sarah Palin wears as she styles around the country stumping for McCain’s Straight Talk Express. And American eyeglasses enthusiasts are eager to elect a candidate who can make eyewear – and politics – fabulous again. Wheee!
Kazuo Kawasaki, the glasses’ designer, has this to say to Americans: “I hope American voters will be smart, pay attention to her position on the issues, and not vote on her image or my glasses.” Amen, Kaz. On the other hand, Kaz also suggests we vote for the candidate most likely to transform into a 20-story robot and go “Superrrrrrr Destruct Mecha!” all over the place. Because he’s Japanese.
