Always nice when the Church hands out blank checks for bigots to cash in the name of God. I think these kinds of decrees are last gasps, though. Benedict and others surely recognize that the tide of gays (heh heh) is overwhelming, and indeed gayness is becoming mainstream while views like his are pushed to the fringe.
